Sent to the Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Cable ("DTC")
Subject: Complaint Regarding Xfinity Blocking Access to My Website
Hello,
My name is Jeramy Dalpe, and I am filing a complaint regarding Xfinity/Comcast blocking access to my website:
https://supportivehousinggonebad.com
This website is lawful speech and public-interest advocacy concerning supportive housing accountability in Massachusetts. It contains documentation, commentary, and materials related to my experience with housing/service providers and matters of public concern.
I contacted Xfinity because users on Xfinity connections were unable to access the site. Xfinity initially confirmed that there was an xFi Advanced Security block on the website and stated that the issue had been escalated for further review. However, I later received another automated response claiming there was no block, even though their earlier response had already confirmed one existed.
This is extremely concerning because Xfinity appears to be blocking access to lawful public-interest speech without giving a clear reason, consistent explanation, appeal process, or timely correction. The conflicting responses make it difficult to know whether this is a technical false positive, improper security classification, or something more serious.
I am requesting that your office review this matter and determine whether Xfinity/Comcast is handling this appropriately under Massachusetts consumer protection, telecommunications, cable, internet service, or licensing obligations.
My concerns include:
- Xfinity/xFi Advanced Security blocking access to my lawful website
- Conflicting responses from Xfinity about whether the block exists
- Lack of transparency about why the website was flagged
- Lack of a clear appeal or correction process
- Possible interference with public-interest speech and consumer access
- Harm to my ability to distribute documentation and advocacy materials
The website is:
https://supportivehousinggonebad.com
I can provide screenshots, Xfinity email responses, timestamps, test results, and any other documentation needed to support this complaint.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and let me know what additional information you need from me.
Thank you,
Jeramy Dalpe
